Series: Yoga for Beginners

Wanting to try yoga but not ready to jump into a group class?

This introductory 6-week workshop series will help new students feel comfortable and confident to begin their yoga practice.

Yoga is for everyone! This includes all body-types and ages. This workshop will help students learn basic alignment that can be applied to every yoga pose including, injury management and modifications. We will also introduce the anatomy of breathing, connecting our breath and movement, and provide simple breathing exercises that can be used anywhere. The flow will be conversational, the pace chill, with opportunities to ask questions and quell fears.

No prior yoga experience needed. Come wearing loose fitting, comfortable clothing . Mats and props will be provided. The series run 1/24-2/28). Students can sign up with a prorated rate after the series has started.

Series: Family Yoga

Yoga for the whole family! Adult and Child (Toddlers and Up) learn and play Yoga together, using games, discussion, music, and more.  Children learn the basics of Yoga, both the physical movements, and the mental practice of focusing and calming the mind, while adults get to stretch, strengthen, and play with their little Yogis. This class is geared towards 3-6 year olds, however older and younger siblings are welcome!

This 10-week series series run 1/24-3/28. Families can sign up with a prorated rate after the series has started.

Katonah Yoga Series: Practical Magic

In this series, we will explore the Katonah Yoga lens, deepen skill, integrate breath and body, link metaphor & alignment, and culminate with personal insight and integration. Expect to learn more about your body through the repeating process of 1) stability, 2) capacity, and 3) vision. Each session will include physical asana, Katonah theory, and pranayama (breath work). The practice is a communal practice where everyone is supported by the group through a sometimes difficult-to-stay-in asana practice that also supports the development of your tenacity.

This series run 1/26- 2/23 and can be prorated for students signing up after the first session. The sessions will be recorded to in the case you miss one, the recording will be sent to you. Students with memberships gets a discount!

Series: Developing a Pranayama and Meditation Practice

If you've ever wanted to build a meditation and breathwork practice but have found it challenging, this is the right series for you! In this 6-week series, we will explore the history and science of meditation and breathwork; as well as different mindfulness, meditation, pranayama (breathwork), and concentration building practices. We will also explore movements that help open up the breathing muscles, calm the nervous system, and ground the body. We will form community through journaling and sharing. The benefits of these practices have been shown to:

Improve brain health 
Improve focus and concentration
Spend more time in the present moment vs. living in the past or the future 
Help with pain management and possibly improve health
Help with stress, anxiety, and depression 
Improve our relationship with life practices like nutrition, movement, self-image, relationships, and work

You can join this series in person or virtually. Link will be provided before the start of the series. (Recordings are not available.) No class on 3/1.
